Welcome to the Eden Valley Railway
The Eden Valley Railway Trust is working towards restoration of the railway line between Warcop and Appleby-in-Westmorland. We are based at Warcop Station and our current running line is approximately 2.2 miles in length, terminating at Southfields. Please note that there is no public access or station at Southfields, all our facilities being at Warcop.

We will be re-opening to visitors on Sunday 2nd April, the first train leaving Warcop at 11am. For more details of our open days in 2023 see the timetable page.

On the third Sunday of each month we will be running our battery-electric MLV/4-CEP train, and on these days we will be using our 0-6-0 diesel locomotive "Darlington" for Driver for a Fiver.

A huge thank you to all our visitors to the Eden Valley Railway (EVR) during our 2022 running season.
It has been a joy and a pleasure to meet new visitors and also to welcome back repeat visitors, families, members of EVR, rail enthusiasts and friends including our friends in Warcop village who joined us for their annual Halloween train. We hope you all enjoyed your visit to us.

Without you all joining us during the year we would be unable to share our passion for our railway with you.
The Eden Valley Railway is completely operated by unpaid volunteers who routinely give their time, energy and hard work to enhance the preservation of our heritage railway – if you would like to become a member of our railway and perhaps join our volunteer team please contact us at enquiries@evr-cumbria.org.uk
The railway has a Facebook page, Eden Valley Railway, and we are also on Twitter, @evrcumbria.
