Where We Are
The Eden Valley Railway is based at Warcop in Cumbria, just off the A66 between Appleby-in-Westmorland and Brough
.
From the M6, leave the M6 at Junction 40 and head east on the A66 for about 18 miles. Turn right at the Warcop road junction, signed Warcop and Warcop Training Centre. Turn left immediately before the railway bridge and follow this road to the visitor entrance which is at the far end of the site.

An alternative route is to leave the M6 at Junction 38 and follow the A685 through Kirkby Stephen towards Brough before turning west onto the A66 and following the instructions below.

From the East:

take the A66 over Stainmore and past Brough before turning left at the Warcop road junction, signed Warcop and Warcop Training Centre. Turn left immediately before the railway bridge and follow this road to the visitor entrance which is at the far end of the site.

It is possible to approach the railway via Warcop Village but we do not encourage this are some of the country lanes are rather narrow and there is no signage to the railway in the village.

By Public Transport

The nearest station is Appleby on the Settle - Carlisle line. Current timetables can be found on the Northern Rail website.

Unfortunately there is no longer a suitable bus service for visitors to Warcop following Cumbria County Council's withdrawal of subsidies recently.
